1Editor kya karta hai
- Selection: sabse achhe hisse chunna, faltu kaatna.
- Pacing: video ki raftaar, taaki bore na ho.
- Kahani: shuruaat (hook), beech, ant (CTA).
- Polish: captions, b-roll, music, sound, colour.
- Export: har platform ke hisaab se sahi file.

2Tools jo India mein available hain
Phone (free):
- YouTube Create (Google ka, Android): cuts, captions, music library.

- InShot: aasaan, bahut log use karte hain (kuch features paid).
Laptop (free):
- DaVinci Resolve: professional, free version bahut taaqatwar; achha laptop chahiye.
- Clipchamp: Windows mein Microsoft ka, browser jaisa aasaan.
Note: kuch apps India mein ban hain (jaise CapCut, 2020 se). Hamesha Play Store/App Store se official app lo, kabhi APK file se nahi.
3Setup karo
Ek tool chuno aur usi pe course poora karo; tool badalte rehna time barbaad karta hai.
- Phone pe YouTube Create ya Edits install karo (ya laptop pe DaVinci Resolve/Clipchamp).
- Phone mein "Editing Practice" naam ka album/folder banao.
- Apne phone se 5 chhote clips record karo: chalte hue, chai banate hue, kuch bolte hue.
- App mein naya project banao aur clips import karo.

Maan lo Rahul ne phone pe roz ek chhota video edit karne ki practice ki. Ek mahine baad paas ke gym ne poochha ki unke trainers ke workout clips se Reels bana sakta hai kya. Usne 5 reels ka sample banaya aur gym ne har hafte 3 reels ka kaam de diya, sab phone pe hi.

Today every business, creator and coaching centre needs videos, and most do not have time to edit. A video editor's job is to turn raw footage into a story people watch to the end. You can start on a phone; a laptop grows the work later.
1What an editor does
- Selection: choosing the best parts, cutting the waste.
- Pacing: the video's speed, so it is not boring.
- Story: a beginning (hook), a middle, an end (CTA).
- Polish: captions, b-roll, music, sound, colour.
- Export: the right file for each platform.
Kinds of work: Reels/Shorts editor (the highest demand), YouTube editor, ad video editor, wedding/event editor.
2Tools available in India
Phone (free):
- YouTube Create (Google's, Android): cuts, captions, a music library.
- Edits (Instagram's editing app): for Reels.
- InShot: easy, used by many people (some features paid).
Laptop (free):
- DaVinci Resolve: professional, the free version is very powerful; needs a good laptop.
- Clipchamp: Microsoft's, in Windows, as easy as a browser.
Note: some apps are banned in India (like CapCut, since 2020). Always get the official app from the Play Store/App Store, never from an APK file.
3Set up
Pick one tool and finish the course on it; switching tools wastes time.
- Install YouTube Create or Edits on your phone (or DaVinci Resolve/Clipchamp on a laptop).
- Create an album/folder called "Editing Practice" on your phone.
- Record 5 short clips on your phone: walking, making tea, saying something.
- Create a new project in the app and import the clips.
Example: Say: a first client from the neighbourhood
Say Rahul practised editing one short video a day on his phone. A month later, a nearby gym asked whether he could make Reels from their trainers' workout clips. He made a sample of 5 reels and the gym gave him 3 reels of work every week, all on his phone.
Common mistakes
- Trying a new app every week.
- Running banned or pirated apps from APKs.
- Only watching tutorials, with no practice footage.
