Zyada tar log English isliye nahi bolte kyunki unhe galti ka darr hai, isliye nahi ki unhe aati nahi. Is lesson mein tum ek roz ka 15 minute ka plan banaoge jo darr ko dheere dheere khatam karta hai, bina kisi coaching ke.
1Darr kyun lagta hai, aur sach kya hai
Darr ki teen wajah hoti hain: "log hasenge", "grammar galat ho jayegi", "shabd yaad nahi aayenge".
Sach ye hai:
- Office ki English ka maqsad baat samjhana hai, perfect grammar nahi.
- Saamne wala tumhari galti se zyada tumhari baat pe dhyan deta hai.
- Pehle fluency, phir accuracy. Pehle rukte-rukte hi sahi, bolna shuru karo. Grammar saath saath sudhrega.
Jo log achhi English bolte hain, unhone bhi galtiyan karke hi seekha hai.
2Roz ka 15 minute plan
Roz thoda, har din. Ek din 2 ghante aur phir 10 din kuch nahi, isse kuch nahi hota.
- 5 minute suno: YouTube pe "BBC Learning English 6 Minute English" ya "English Connection" ka koi video.
- 5 minute shadowing: video ka ek sentence suno, pause karo, aur wahi sentence usi tone mein bolo.
- 5 minute khud bolo: phone ka voice recorder kholo aur 1 minute "My day today" pe bolo.
- Recording sun ke ek galti note karo. Kal us galti pe dhyan do.
- Neeche wala tracker download karo aur roz ek line bharo.
3Bina partner ke practice
Bolne ke liye koi saath na ho toh bhi practice ho sakti hai:
- Self-talk: kaam karte waqt man mein English mein bolo: "Now I am making tea. Then I will check my email."
- Mirror: shaam ko 2 minute sheeshe ke saamne apne din ke baare mein bolo.
- Voice note: kisi dost ke saath roz ek English voice note ka deal karo.
- Cheezon ke naam: kamre ki 10 cheezon ke naam English mein bolo. Jo na aaye, Google pe dekh lo.
Example: Maan lo: Pooja ka pehla mahina
Maan lo Pooja ek call centre interview mein English sun ke ghabra gayi thi. Usne 30 din roz 15 minute ka plan kiya. Day 1 ki recording mein woh 1 minute mein 6 baar ruki. Day 30 tak recording mein woh 2 minute bina lambe pause ke bol paayi. Grammar ab bhi perfect nahi thi, par baat saaf thi.
Aam galtiyan
- Pehle poori grammar ki kitaab khatam karne baithna aur bolna shuru hi na karna.
- Har sentence pehle Hindi mein soch ke shabd-shabd translate karna. Chhote sentences seedhe English mein socho.
- Ek din bahut zyada, phir kai din kuch nahi. Roz 15 minute zyada kaam karta hai.
Practice task
Aaj phone pe 1 minute ki recording karo: "My day today". 5-6 chhote sentences bolo, jaise "I woke up at 7. I had tea. I went to college." Phir tracker mein Day 1 bharo.
Jaldi se recap
- Pehle fluency, phir accuracy
- Roz 15 min: 5 suno, 5 shadow, 5 bolo
- Har din 1 minute recording
- Self-talk: kaam karte waqt English mein socho
- Galti = seekhne ka hissa
Most people do not speak English because they fear mistakes, not because they do not know it. In this lesson you will make a 15-minute daily plan that slowly removes the fear, without any coaching.
1Why the fear, and what the truth is
The fear has three causes: "people will laugh", "my grammar will be wrong", "I will not remember the words".
The truth is:
- The aim of office English is to get your point across, not perfect grammar.
- The other person pays more attention to your point than to your mistakes.
- Fluency first, accuracy later. Start speaking, even haltingly. Grammar improves along the way.
People who speak English well also learned by making mistakes.
2The 15-minute daily plan
A little, every day. 2 hours one day and nothing for 10 days achieves nothing.
- Listen for 5 minutes: a "BBC Learning English 6 Minute English" or "English Connection" video on YouTube.
- 5 minutes of shadowing: listen to one sentence of the video, pause, and say the same sentence in the same tone.
- Speak yourself for 5 minutes: open your phone's voice recorder and talk for 1 minute on "My day today".
- Listen to the recording and note one mistake. Focus on that mistake tomorrow.
- Download the tracker below and fill in one line every day.
3Practice without a partner
You can practise even with nobody to talk to:
- Self-talk: while working, talk to yourself in English: "Now I am making tea. Then I will check my email."
- Mirror: in the evening, talk about your day in front of a mirror for 2 minutes.
- Voice notes: agree with a friend to exchange one English voice note a day.
- Names of things: say the names of 10 things in your room in English. Look up the ones you do not know.
Example: Say: Pooja's first month
Say Pooja panicked when she heard English in a call centre interview. She followed the 15-minute plan for 30 days. In her Day 1 recording she stopped 6 times in 1 minute. By Day 30 she could speak for 2 minutes without long pauses. Her grammar was still not perfect, but her point was clear.
Common mistakes
- Sitting down to finish a whole grammar book first and never starting to speak.
- Thinking every sentence in Hindi and translating word for word. Think short sentences directly in English.
- A lot one day, then nothing for days. 15 minutes daily works better.
Practice task
Record 1 minute on your phone today: "My day today". Say 5-6 short sentences, like "I woke up at 7. I had tea. I went to college." Then fill in Day 1 in the tracker.
Quick recap
- Fluency first, accuracy later
- 15 min daily: 5 listen, 5 shadow, 5 speak
- A 1-minute recording every day
- Self-talk: think in English while working
- Mistakes = part of learning
