2Eligibility ke 4 sawaal

Kisi bhi exam ko chunne se pehle official notification mein ye 4 cheezein check karo. Ye har saal badal sakti hain, isliye hamesha naya notification hi dekho.

  1. Umar: kam se kam aur zyada se zyada umar kya hai, aur tumhari category ko kitni chhoot milti hai?
  2. Padhai: 10th, 12th, graduation ya koi khaas degree chahiye?
  3. Attempts: kitni baar de sakte ho (UPSC jaise exams mein limit hoti hai)?
  4. Physical ya doosri shart: police, defence jaise exams mein physical test ya medical hota hai.

31-2 exam pe focus karo

Ek jaise syllabus wale exam saath mein chuno, taaki ek tayyari do jagah kaam aaye. Jaise SSC CGL aur CHSL ka bada hissa milta-julta hai, aur IBPS aur SBI ke exam bhi. Ek "main exam" chuno aur ek "backup exam". Har exam ka sabse naya notification official site se download karke ek folder mein rakho.

Asli duniya mein: Exam calendar se planning

UPSC har saal apna exam calendar official site pe daalta hai: kis exam ka notification kab aayega aur exam kab hoga. SSC bhi apna tentative calendar deta hai. Tayyari ki planning yahin se shuru karo. Ye calendar "tentative" hota hai aur dates badal sakti hain, isliye notification aate hi dobara check karo.

Example: Maan lo: Priya ki pehli list

Maan lo Priya ne B.Com kiya hai aur umar 23 saal hai. Usne SSC, Banking aur Railways ke notifications dekhe. Usne IBPS PO ko main exam aur IBPS Clerk ko backup chuna, kyunki dono ka syllabus kaafi milta hai aur use numbers achhe lagte hain. Ab uski saari tayyari ek hi disha mein hai.

Aam galtiyan

  • Kisi YouTube video ya WhatsApp message se eligibility maan lena, official notification na padhna.
  • Ek saath 6-7 alag-alag exam ki tayyari shuru karna.
  • Form bharne ki aakhri date ka intezaar karna; site aakhri din dheemi ho jaati hai.

Practice task

Apne liye 3 exam chuno. Har ek ki official site kholo aur ek table banao: exam ka naam, umar ki shart, padhai ki shart, attempts, aur tumhare liye theek hai ya nahi. Phir 1 main aur 1 backup exam pe nishaan lagao.

Challenge (agla level)

Apne main exam ka pichhla notification kholo aur 3 aisi baatein dhoondo jo tumhe pehle nahi pata thi (jaise umar mein chhoot, documents ki list, fees ki chhoot). Phir AI se kaho: "Is notification ke text se mere liye 10 sawaal ka eligibility quiz banao, jawab aakhir mein." Quiz khud do.

Kaise check karein: 3 nayi baatein notification ke page number ke saath likhi hon, aur quiz mein 10 mein se 8 ya zyada.

Jaldi se recap

  • Pehle exam chuno, phir tayyari
  • Eligibility: umar, padhai, attempts, physical
  • Hamesha naya official notification padho
  • 1 main + 1 backup exam, milta-julta syllabus
  • Official sites: ssc.gov.in, ibps.in, upsc.gov.in

The first step in preparing for a government job is choosing the right exam. Many people chase 5 or 6 exams at once and are not fully ready for any of them. In this lesson you will see which exams are for whom, how to check eligibility, and how to focus on 1 or 2.

1The big exam groups and their official sites

  • SSC (Staff Selection Commission): exams like CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD Constable, Stenographer and JE. Official site: ssc.gov.in
  • Banking: IBPS PO, Clerk, SO and RRB. Official site: ibps.in. SBI recruitment: sbi.co.in/web/careers. RBI Grade B and Assistant: rbi.org.in
  • Railways (RRB): NTPC, Group D, ALP and JE. Information: indianrailways.gov.in
  • UPSC: Civil Services, CAPF, CDS, NDA and ESE. Official site: upsc.gov.in
  • Teaching: CTET (ctet.nic.in), state TETs, KVS/NVS. UGC NET: ugcnet.nta.ac.in

2The 4 eligibility questions

Before choosing any exam, check these 4 things in the official notification. They can change every year, so always read the latest notification.

  1. Age: what are the minimum and maximum ages, and how much relaxation does your category get?
  2. Education: do you need 10th, 12th, graduation or a specific degree?
  3. Attempts: how many times can you appear (exams like UPSC have a limit)?
  4. Physical or other conditions: exams for police or defence have a physical test or medical.

3Focus on 1-2 exams

Pick exams with similar syllabuses so one preparation works for both. For example, SSC CGL and CHSL overlap a lot, and so do IBPS and SBI exams. Choose one "main exam" and one "backup exam". Download the latest notification of each from the official site and keep them in one folder.

In the real world: Plan from the exam calendar

UPSC puts its exam calendar for the year on its official site: when each notification comes out and when each exam is held. SSC also publishes a tentative calendar. Start your planning from there. These calendars are "tentative" and dates can change, so check again as soon as the notification is out.

See the source ↗

Example: Say: Priya's first list

Say Priya has a B.Com and is 23. She read the SSC, banking and railway notifications. She chose IBPS PO as her main exam and IBPS Clerk as the backup, because both syllabuses overlap and she likes numbers. Now all her preparation points one way.

Common mistakes

  • Taking eligibility from a YouTube video or WhatsApp message instead of the official notification.
  • Starting preparation for 6 or 7 different exams at once.
  • Waiting for the last date to fill the form; sites slow down on the last day.

Practice task

Pick 3 exams for yourself. Open each official site and make a table: exam name, age rule, education rule, attempts, and whether it suits you. Then mark 1 main and 1 backup exam.

Challenge (next level)

Open the last notification of your main exam and find 3 things you did not know before (for example age relaxation, the document list, fee exemption). Then ask AI: "From this notification text, make a 10-question eligibility quiz for me, answers at the end." Take the quiz yourself.

How to check: 3 new facts written with the notification page number, and 8 or more out of 10 in the quiz.

Quick recap

  • Choose the exam first, then prepare
  • Eligibility: age, education, attempts, physical
  • Always read the latest official notification
  • 1 main + 1 backup exam with a similar syllabus
  • Official sites: ssc.gov.in, ibps.in, upsc.gov.in
